Traditional, crispy, juicy, saffron-hued Indian sweet made from fermented batter of wheat flour & lentil. The batter is extruded in pretzel-like shape, deep fried and dipped in sugar syrup for few seconds.
Although this sticky rice is perfect with Oriental food, it is also ideal with all savoury dishes and makes an excellent rice pudding. Cold cooked Fragrant Jasmine is wonderful to use as fried rice – the lightly sticky grains separate when re-heated.
Coarse Semolina is sifted from the finest quality freshly milled Durum Wheat and adds a delicious crunchy texture to many cakes and biscuits when baking.
It also makes a wholesome alternative to breadcrumbs.
